Google Analytics released three major updates to their Tag Manager. An improved interface, more 3rd-party templates in the tag creation flow, and a brand new API.
The interface improvements are focused on a simpler and clearer workflow for marketers, including helpful keyboard shortcuts.
With the new Google Tag Manager API, you can now build your own tools, or help your existing ones to be more integrated with your workflow. It’s easier to create and manage users and tags.
Users integrating tags from AdRoll, Marin, Comscore, Bizo, Clicktale, Neustar, Distillery, Turn, Mediaplex, VisualDNA, quantcast, Criteo, now have support. And many more are set to come soon.
